Stoke's local paper The Sentinel summed up what many Pure Robbie members have been saying all week.............
Jon Bon Jovi - who has been referred to as a poodle-haired rocker for years despite habitually wearing the kind of straw hat which would be ideal for hiding male pattern baldness - has taken a shot at Robbie Williams.
"That guy? He couldn't fill a bar. He couldn't sell 500 tickets," said the square-jawed American, who attracted more than 30,000 people to his gig at Britannia Stadium seven years ago.
Stoke's finest, in contrast, sold a mere 1.6 million tickets in a single day for his 2006 World Tour.
Perhaps Mr Jovi should stick to wearing tight trousers and leave the maths to the experts?
From The Sentinel
We couldnt have said it better although we would have added that Robbie Williams Close Encounters tour also recieved a Banoff Nomination (Banff nomination for Robbie Williams concert) a Helpmann nomination (Robbie Williams 2006 Tour recieves Helpmann Nomination)
Plus the FACT that ROBBIE WILLIAMS, With $3,626,856 in sales, took the No. 1 spot on the Top 10 North American concert grosses as reported on November 7, 2006 at Billboard, full article here blows the 'oh but Bon Jovi was referring to America' argument right up shit creek!
